Panoramic photography is a technique of photography, sometimes using specialized equipment or software, that captures images with elongated fields of view. It is often known as wide format photography. The term has also been applied to a photograph that is cropped to a relatively wide aspect ratio.

Most of the recent pans on this site were created using a 16mm Nikon fisheye lens on a D700 body. For a full 360° panorama only 6 exposures are required.

For the best results use a tripod and a panorama head i.e. Nodal Ninja NN3 MK II.

The 6 exposures below were stitched using Kolar Autopano Pro 2.5. Software that supports fisheye lenses.
